In a report to PSSUPT GILBERTO DC CRUZ, Laguna Police Director, by PSUPT JOEL CUATON PERNITO,OOA 11:00 p.m. of January 2, 2012, in front of venue Bar and Resto at Brgy.Halang, Calamba City, Laguna.
OOA 11:10 p.m. of January 2, 2012 Calamba CPS received a phone call coming from a concern citizen and reported that a shooting incident was transpired in front of venue Bar and Resto at Brgy.Halang, Calamba City.
Investigation disclosed that OOA 11:00 p.m. of January 2, 2012 in front of said place, the suspect confronted the victim ArcangelPalupit y Recto, 35 y/o, married and resident of Purok 4, Brgy.Real, Calamba City and his companion one Alvin Esto Rodriguez, 40 y/o, married and resident of Durian St, ManihanManotoSubd, Brgy. Real, Calamba City that bringing food inside the said place was prohibited which resulted to a heated argument and fist fight at that juncture the suspect Lou Espiritu y Bautista, 36 y/o, married, Bouncer and resident of Brgy. Palingon, Calamba City drew a short firearm tuck on his waist and shot Alvin Rodriguez three times but manage to elude and the victim who was at his back was hit by the bullet on his chest thrice which resulted to his instantaneous death, after the incident the suspect fled towards to his home, elements of Calamba CPS were conducting follow up operation and suspect cornered to his house and convince to surrendered and he was brought to Calamba CPS for investigation, suspect after the incident he immediately turned over his firearm to one of their customer whom he doesn’t know his name which was then surrendered to him and kept inside the drawer, SOCO Team from Camp Vicente Lim, Calamba City conducted crime scene investigation which resulted to the recovery of three (3) fired cartridge case of unknown calibre, Arrested suspect was brought to RCLO4A for paraffin examination.
As a result, suspect was detained and the disposition of the case is for filling in court by officer on case PO2 Ronald I. Monedo.` (Arlene P. Mariposque)
