PDEA PRO4A Continuous Operation

Operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency CALABARZON conducted a LEGITIMATE BUY-BUST OPERATION on January 25, 2011 around 11 o'clock in the morning, againts one MIRIAM PAPERA y ASILO alias Eyang (listed as our watch list of big time drug pusher) at Brgy Sabang, Lipa City. Papera sold a sachet of shabu to our agent who posted as buyer and when she recognized one of the agents who is about to arrest her, she immediately ran and locked herself in her house at B19 L9 Bahayang Pilipino, Brgy. Sabang, Lipa City.When Papera was already apprehended, PDEA Agents were met outside Papera's residence by Lipa City Police and were arrested despite the fact that they introduced themselves as PDEA agents and showed their Identification Card and they were even wearing their badges. Some of their personal belongings including a cell phone, magazine of the firearm, 2000 pesos, license of the firearm and even the evidence (sachet of shabu) confiscated by PDEA agents were missing.
The arrested subject of the agency's operation, which is Papera, unfortunately became the complainant is now the complainant and last January 26, 2011 around 10 o'clock in the morning, they've undergone inquest proceedings at Lipa City Prosecutor's Office conducted by Prosecutor Sheila Angela Palo-Sarmiento. As of this writing, the agents together with two (2) other men were released by posting a bond. Papera was released by policemen. "The operation done by my men were legitimate and we are continuously coordinating with our PNP counterparts regarding the incident and likewise ironing out coordination on the anti-illegal drug operation", Director II Randy R.
