PUBLIC-PRIVATE MIX PARA SA TB CARE & CONTROL INILUNSAD SA LAGUNA

Naglunsad ang Philippine Coalition Against Tuberculosis (PhilCAT) sa koordinasyon sa Department of Health (DOH) at Provincial Health Office-Public Health service ng Laguna Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) para sa Public-Private Mix (PPM) para sa TB Care and Control sa Cultural Center ng Laguna.
Ang layunin ng PCC ay:General: Help reduce the prevalence, incidence and mortality of TB by 50% in 2015 and beyond 50% from a baseline established in 2000 in support of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) for poverty alleviation.Specific: Detect an additional 6% of smear (+) TB cases existing nationwide and maintain a treatment success rate of 85%.
Sa Provincial Government ng Laguna (PGL), ang TB ay hindi na problemang pangkalusugan ng publiko dahil ang pamahalaan ay tinitiyak na ang TB DOTS (Directly Observed Treatment Short Course) serbisyong magagamit, mapupuntahan at abot-kayang gamutan sa komunidad sa pakikipatulungan ng LGUs at iba pa.
Samantala, noong Agosto 2010, ang lalawigan ng Laguna sa buong CALABARZON ang may pinakamataas na detection ng TB at cure rate, Most Improved LGU, and Health Sector Reform Champion na iginawad ng DOH.
