Municipal Councilor, Nabbed by CIDG4A Operatives for Extortion on Father’s day !!!

CIDG 4A Personnel led by PCINSP Orlando l. Gastil Jr. under the direct supervision of PSSUPT Edwin Jose G. Nemenzo, Phd/CESE, Regional Chief 4A-RCIDU, arrested in an entrapment operation on June 19, 2011 at about 5:30pm at the vicinity of Sun Star Mall located at Sta. Cruz Laguna , one Marlon Acaylar y Asumbra, 39 years old and incumbent Municipal Councilor of Pangil Laguna.
Said operation stemmed from a complaint of businesswoman Priscilla Organista, a resident of Candelaria St. Balian Pangil, Laguna who alleged that since June 11, 2011, she continuously received text messages from the suspect threatening and extorting money from her in the amount of PHP200,000.00 in exchange or assurance that her daughter will not be abducted once the money is given, hence, an entrapment operation was set-up.
Recovered from the suspects possession and control were marked money amounting to PHP17,500.00, one (1) Samsung Cellular Phone with serial Nr. RDFZA94011M, One(1) Sim Card (09472830686) and (1) Yamaha Mio Motorcycle with plate nr. 2485WF.
Charges of Extortion and Grave Threats against the suspects was filed before Provincial Prosecutor’s office of Sta. Cruz, Laguna. // Arlene P. Mariposque
